I graduated from Nova
Southeastern University and received a Master's
Degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have
over 15 years of experience in the Mental Health
field. I have been in private
practice for the past 8 years.
The
client base that I serve is adolescents and adults.
I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral and Solution-Focused
modalities to address various issues and concerns.
Cognitive-Behavioral therapy is based on the belief
that troublesome feelings and behaviors come from
irrational and "stinking" i.e. (negative)
thinking. My goal is to help clients recognize
and change irrational/negative thinking that often
lead to destructive behavior and replace harmful
behaviors with more helpful ones.
Solution-Focused therapy helps clients define the
problem and shape the problem into a positive goal
that often gives them a sense of accomplishment and
control over their lives. Again, creating a sense of
EMPOWERMENT!
